1. Who is responsible for your data
The personal information controller of your data is the operator of PersonalizedSong.ph.
For anything to do with privacy and personal data, you can contact us at: [email protected]
2. What data we process
When you use the Service, we may process:
- your name and email address;
- the story you give us with your order;
- names and other information you choose to include in the story;
- the language, mood, musical style and type of voice you choose;
- information about your order and payment;
- the generated lyrics, audio files and cover image;
- data sent through the contact form;
- basic technical data, such as your IP address, device type, browser and error logs.
We do not store full payment card details.
3. Why we use your data
We use your data mainly to:
- accept and fulfill your order;
- create the lyrics, music and vocals;
- make the finished song, the lyrics and the MP3 file available to you;
- process payments;
- contact you about your order;
- deal with questions and complaints;
- keep the Service secure and working properly;
- meet our legal obligations.
We process your data mainly because it is needed to fulfill the contract you entered into with us, to comply with a legal obligation, or for the legitimate interests of the operator of the Service, as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 allows.
4. Information about other people
The story you send for the song may include information about another person, such as a partner, a parent or a friend.
Only give us information that is needed to create the song and that you are entitled to share with us.
Please don't send sensitive personal information unless it is needed for the song.
5. Who we may share data with
Where needed to run the Service, data may be processed by providers of:
- payments;
- hosting and technical infrastructure;
- databases and file storage;
- email;
- the technology used to create the lyrics, music and vocals;
- security and diagnostics.
We do not sell personal data.
Some providers may process data outside the Philippines. Where that happens, we take steps so that your data stays protected as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 requires.
6. How long we keep data
We keep data for as long as needed to fulfill your order, run the Song Page, handle complaints, meet our legal obligations and protect against possible claims.
The finished song, its lyrics and files may be kept for as long as the Song Page is maintained.
You can ask us to delete your data and the Song Page by writing to: [email protected]
We may not be able to delete some data right away if we have to keep it for legal or accounting reasons.
7. The Song Page
The finished song is made available on its own page, reached through a unique link.
The page:
- does not need an account;
- can be opened by anyone who has the link;
- is not intended to be indexed by search engines;
- may show the lyrics and details you included in your story.
We do not show your email address or the contents of your original form on it.
If you share the link with someone else or publicly, we have no control over where it goes next.
8. Browser storage and statistics
The Service may use your browser's storage (localStorage), for example to keep a form you have started or your page settings.
When you arrive from another website or a campaign link, we note the source of your visit: the campaign parameters of the link (UTM), the address of the referring page without its parameters, and the page you landed on. This is kept in your browser's session storage until you close the tab and, if you place an order, saved with that order. We use it only to understand how well the website and its orders are performing, not to identify you or follow you across other websites.
We use cookieless statistics that count visits and order steps without identifying you or following you across other websites. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
The external payment provider may use its own technologies and cookies in line with its own privacy policy.
9. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you have the right to:
- be informed about how your data is processed;
- access your data;
- have it corrected;
- have it erased or blocked;
- object to its processing;
- data portability;
- be indemnified for damages caused by the unlawful processing of your data.
For anything to do with your data, contact us at: [email protected]
You also have the right to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC), privacy.gov.ph.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy if the way the Service works or the law changes.
The current version is always available on this page.
